However, once I start a new project, within seconds, the program just becomes completely unresponsive. It installs successfully, and doesn't report any issues when starting. I install Resolve using the *.run provided by BMD, since I have never experienced any issues with it in v15. I tried again today with the v16.1, but I still get the same issue. Since I have CentOS already installed alongside Mint, I have been using Resolve on CentOS since the release of v16. v15 was working totally fine for me, but since the release of v16, I have been experiencing major issues with Resolve on my Linux Mint installation. I would love to get Resolve working properly on Debian-based distros. I'm afraid the GTX 750 Ti 2GB is not enough to run Resolve 16. looks like there is not enough GPU memory to initialize the OpenGL context.

#INSTALL CUDA LINUX MINT REBECCA HOW TO#
Here is the Resolve log archive in case BMD can give some hint on how to precede:

I have tried unplugging any extra USB devices (just having a simple keyboard and mouse) but that made no difference.īlackmagic RAW player also does not work on my system. Running '/opt/resolve/bin/oclDeviceQuery' passes the GPU fine but actually trying to run Resolve 16 bombs out (without any helpful errors on the commandline) at "Looking for control surfaces" on the splash screen. I have been using makeresolvedeb to do the installation.

Have tried upgrading Linux Mint to 19.2 (based on Ubuntu 18.04) but that made no difference (re-installing Resolve 15.3 still works fine). John Morris wrote:I have been happily using Resolve 15.3 under Linux Mint for a while, however I have had no luck upgrading to any version of 16 or 16.1.
